Add a reversion

If the working interest changes at any point in the project's life, this can be recorded as a reversion. Contractual changes, new deals between partners, partners leaving or joining the project—all these events can be handled as reversions.

  1. On the Palantir tab on the ribbon, click on Working Interest button. The Working Interest window will be displayed.
  2. In the Working Interest window, select the Define Reversions tab.
  3. Click on the Add Reversion button. A new row named Reversion 1 will be added to the table as shown below.

The Define Reversion window

  1. Click on The ellipsis button in the Variable column and select a variable in the WI Variable Selector dialog. This variable will act as the reversion trigger. By default, dates are used as triggers.
  2. Fill in fields in the Operation, Comparison, Value and Units columns.
  3. After the reversion has been set, select the Working Interest tab. A new reversion tab named Reversion 1 will appear next to the Initial tab.
  4. Edit the Reversion 1 tab to reflect the new arrangements which will be used once the trigger is activated.

You can create as many reversions as required. To insert a reversion between two existing ones, select the reversion that will follow the new one and click on the Add Reversion button.

Note: If any partner's share is 0% before or after a reversion, leave this partner on the diagram with the share of 0%. If you delete this partner, it will be removed from the WI setup completely.
